It also means that your rides are going to be a bit longer from one Flight Path to another. However, if you want to level fast when you reach level 40, I recommend heading out to Tanaris desert and Gadgetzan. This is a trick I read a long, LONG time ago before Dungeon Finder was ever a glimmer in Blizzard’s eye.

There you will find the dungeon, Zul’Farrak. It’s been awhile since I stepped foot in this place, but I was absolutely amazed at how much XP you receive at level 40. Well, I was actually at level 41 when I paid someone to run me through it, but I was receiving 153XP-160XP (I was not on rested bonus) per kill. Granted, all the scarabs and trash were only worth about 49XP-60XP apiece, but the end result was unbelievable.

Before we entered “ZF,” I had 2.5 bars full of XP. By the time I left there, I had gained 14.5 bars and had just about reached level 42. It was crazy and if I had more time, I would have gone through again. Keep in mind you can join up with a PUG group in the Dungeon Finder, but you won’t get nearly as much XP. Plus you will be sharing the loot.

If by chance you don’t have anyone to run you through, it will be important to pick up all the quests in Gadgetzan. The reason you don’t want to skip over these is because they offer much larger XP rewards for completing the quests. Some of them were quests in ZF (4 I believe), but the rest were everywhere else in the area. The dungeon quests were giving me 6550XP to 9330XP.

This is a far cry from what you see in Theramore Isle (3500-4500 on average), which is why you will see a World of Warcraft power leveling guide give you the same type of information. When you do the quests after a run through Zul’Farrak it’s no surprise that you will level up when you combine the two together. It’s just a faster way to make it happen.

By the end of the day, I had my World of Warcraft account back in swing, but a further investigation was underway for me to retrieve my gold. Today I want to give you the ’411′ on how to recover a hacked account so the process is a little smoother.

1) Don’t Panic

Seriously, I was pissed when I couldn’t log into my account. The hacker added an authenticator to it so I wouldn’t be able to access it while he/she was stealing all my gold. This will make anyone panic, especially when you start wondering what else they could have taken from you (real money, credit card numbers, social security, etc.). However, there is no need to get upset because it will be resolved.

2) Request a New Password

When you go to log into your Battle.net account, be sure to click the “Forgot Password” link underneath. You will have to enter your email address, and they will send you a link you must click to reset your password. Unfortunately, this doesn’t change anything with the authenticator problem, but at least they won’t be able to log into your account again.

3) Check Your Computer

If you open up your “Task Manager” and click on the “Processes” box, you will be able to see everything that is running on your computer. Blizzard will send you to a specific site that helps you figure out if any of them are unknown or malicious. I spent two hours doing this myself and there was nothing to be found. While this is true, it’s well worth figuring out if someone can still get hold of your information.

During this time, you may want to update your Security to keep it from happening again.

4) Call, Post, or Email

Once you’ve completed the first 3 steps, you can either give Blizzard a call, email them or start a thread for “Unauthorized Authenticator.” I don’t recommend calling considering I did that first and they said the lines were full and I couldn’t even wait.

Since this happens to a lot of people, they ask that you DO NOT put multiple posts in the forum. Taking this route could get you banned from the forum, have a suspended account or both. I ended up starting a thread and it only took about 4 hours for them to have the authenticator removed.

5) Don’t let it Happen Again

Obviously, you don’t want to go through this again and you can eliminate it by just using common sense. The only thing I did last night that was different from any other night was visit WoWstead. This is a site where guilds setup their own sites so other wow gamers can see what they’re doing.

Now, I’m not saying they are the reason I got hacked, but it leaves room for thought. Also, disregard any suspicious email that comes from Blizzard, especially if it hits your spam box. I believe any email from them will come from “noreply@blizzard.com.”

Why would People Purchase the Swiftness potion? It really depends on the player, but a lot of the ones that play in the Warsong Gulch battleground, love adding this to their repertoire. Since it’s “capture the flag” you need speed. It’s a game where druids rule (and usually the Horde), but individuals like Warriors who don’t have speed boosts will purchase them just for this BG.

Then again, it could be something as simple as someone under level 20 who is tired of running slow. So even though this increases your run speed by 50% for 15 seconds, it can save you several minutes on your leveling time. If it’s not any of these reasons, it’s probably just to run away from mobs when they are about die. Whatever the case may be, it’s considered a big commodity, which is why every Alchemist should be listing it in the Auction House.

Today I want to go over a few tips I gathered on my own and others that I utilized from a reputable Rogue guide.

You Have to Get Leatherworking and Skinning

Since your Rogue is going to be wearing leather armor for the duration it’s extremely valuable to grab Leatherworking and Skinning as your primary professions. This will alleviate the hundreds of gold you have to spend on armor, and will allow you to utilize is for better weapons.

The trick is to get as much leather as possible and level up your Leatherworking so it’s a little ahead of your current level. So if you’re at level 35, you should be able to make pieces for level 40s and above. When the time comes to use them you will already have the materials to make it happen.

After all, you don’t need to be decked-out in order to quest. You just need decent gear that will keep the process an easy one.

Adding in a Little Cooking

One thing I hear a lot of Rogues like to do is purchase potions from the auction house. Honestly, this is nothing but a waste of money, especially since you can find them at various vendors throughout the game. All you need to do is level your Cooking profession as you level in order to replenish your health after a battle.

Yes, some Rogues purchase potions to counteract their lack of armor or healing abilities, but there is an area that is often overlooked that can help.

It’s also important to understand that you do not need to purchase enchantments when you are simply questing. Rogues and other classes spend tons of gold on these, even though they are not needed until later in the game. If you want a little boost then grab a cooking item that offers something after you become “Well Fed.”

First Aid for Health

Rogues are considered the annoying class to all the others because of our stunning, incapacitating, and blinding abilities. If you level your First Aid according to your level then you can hit an enemy with Blind and use a bandage to replenish the health.

Taking advantage of all of these tips will help you save gold in the game. Trust me, you’re going to need it later for all those expensive items.

Beginning with the Blood talents, Butchery should be your first choice. Then of course when you add Hysteria, Hearth Strike, Might of Mograine, Blood Gorged and Dancing Rune Weapon your damaging abilities will skyrocket.

Two of the best abilities you can use is Morbidity and Corpse Explosion. This is why you want to utilize the Unholy tree as well so you can be more effective. Anticipation also gives you a 5% Dodge chance and extra stats are available through the Shadow of Death ability.

You will also enjoy the Death Grip, especially if you have a reduced cooldown present. Just remember that questing is about time and the faster you do it the better. This is why it’s imperative to get the On a Pale Horse setup. It definitely reduces your travel time, but you lose 20% on your stun and fear effects.

Overall though this build is tough to beat. However, it’s specifically for solo leveling. If you plan to jump into the Battlegrounds and take on the Horde or Alliance you have to respec, but it can be effective depending on your level of play. Since you have plenty of health gaining abilities and a couple AoE options, reaching 80 should be a breeze.

Feral Druid

Specializing in your Cat Form is the best way to level up quick when you’re a Feral Druid. Over time you will notice that the damage is greater, even though some of the Bear talents are better. Keep in mind this is based on solo leveling and not group play. The main goal here is to maximize the damage of your Cat Form.

Feral Leveling Build

You’re probably used to seeing all the talents you should choose and why, but I’m going to tell you the ones to skip.

Feral Instinct – Since Swipe is an ability that your Bear Form will use, you can skip this ability. When you’re leveling it’s not important to reduce the chance to become visible.

Thick Hide – If you’re looking to tank as a Druid this is a great option, but for leveling purposes you should pass over it.

Brutal Impact – This is also more of a Bear Form ability since it reduces the cooldown of your Bash ability. It does give a 1 second increase to your Pounce Stun duration, so the decision is up to you. We could go either way here.

Natural Reaction – Nothing but Bear Form benefits here.

Primal Tenacity – Since fear and stun effects aren’t’ used too much during leveling you can pass on this one.

Okay, now it’s time to focus on your Restoration talents. You will need a portion of this build for Improved Mark of the Wild, Naturalist, and Omen of Clarity. When you use them you will gain damage and you won’t spend as much Energy during a fight. This will be a huge benefit when leveling.

Balance Druid

Setting yourself up as a Balance Druid is all about getting as much damage as possible. Keep in mind you don’t want to be running out of mana all the time either.

Balance Leveling Build

Genesis- Since Moonfire and Wasp Swarm are the only DoTs that can be used, it’s not worth wasting your talent points here.

Brambles- You will definitely be using Entangling Roots, Thorns, Bark skin and Treants while leveling.

Improved Faerie Fire- This is mainly for raiding, and it’s not worth casting this on a mob.

By now you probably understand that both the Feral and Balance talent builds focus on creating more damage output. Since you can heal up from time to time anyways, you won’t need a ton of survivability.

You will soon figure out that the only places you can find Auction Houses (AH) are in major cities. It doesn’t matter what Faction you’re a part of, because it works the same for both sides. So if you travel to Stormwind, Darnassus, Ironforge or Exodar on the Alliance side, and the Undercity, Orgrimmar, Thunderbluff or Silvermoon City on the Horde side there will be an AH somewhere.

Using the Auction House

In order to bring up the auctions available you have to click on one of the Auctioneers. There will be categories on the left hand side that offer areas for various items and goods to be purchased. Go ahead and try it by clicking on the ‘Weapons’ category. Now you should see a list of sub-categories that will narrow down your search.

You can do this with each category and if you check the ‘Display on Character’ box at the top, any weapons, shields or gear you click on will show you what it would look like on your toon. You can also narrow your search down even farther by looking at the Range drop down menu at the top. Whether you need something poor, uncommon, common, rare or epic, this will allow you to look swiftly through everything available.

Then again, if you just want to look at everything you can just click the ‘Search’ button and all 450+ pages will come up. Just click ‘Next’ or ‘Previous’ to go back and forth.

Another way to see how things look on you is by holding your CTRL key on the keyboard and then left-clicking the item. However, the display on character option is much easier. You will also find a bidding prices and ‘Buy it now’ prices. The latter is the maximum price you will pay and you can do so by clicking the Buyout button at the bottom of the AH window. Then all you have to do is head to the mailbox and get your item.

The price on the top is the bidding price. If you do take this route in hopes of getting the item for a cheaper price you have to keep up with the auction. When you do bid and another gamer outbids you a message will be displayed in your mailbox and a refund of your previous bid. However, if the auction expires and you win, the goods will automatically be sent to your mail.

Selling items isn’t difficult either. All you have to do is click on the Auctions tab at the bottom of the AH window, place whatever it is your selling in the appropriate area, set your price, choose the amount of hours you wish to list it for (12, 24, 48), and click the ‘Create Auction’ button. One of the most important things to do here is check the prices that other competitors are listing it for as well.

If you want to make a sell quick then you want to undercut their bid. When it sells you will receive the gold in your email an hour after the auction ends. If it expires with no sales then the item is sent back to you through the mail.

If at any time you want to monitor your bids you can do so by clicking the Bids and Auctions tabs.
