Just think of it as the “respect” factor. It’s pretty much the equivalent to players who are decked out in those hard to get gear items.

It also shows that you have put in all the hard work, which is what most of the other gamers wish they could do. However, there are several other benefits to earning this title.

One of the items only Crusader title holders will be able to purchase is the Argent Pony Bridle.

After you finally become a Champion of the Argent Tournament you get a companion you can summon. It’s really useless, but when you purchase the Argent Pony Bridle it all changes.

Once you place the Argent Pony Bridle on your companion it can serve as a Bank, Vendor, or even a Mailbox. I can’t even begin to tell you how much time this can save you. So if you’re out in Northrend and nothing is around, just use your companion to empty those bags or purchase some food and mana.

Just remember that the only way to take advantage of this is by earning the Crusader title and then purchasing the Argent Pony Bridle. Oh, and did I mention this title allows you to purchase Heirloom items by doing dailies? In the end you will find this course much easier.

Earning Your Crusader Title

Okay, so now you probably want to know how you can get your own title right? In order to make this happen you have to each the Exalted Champion of the Alliance or Horde. It’s definitely a difficult process if you’re not really sure what you’re doing. Then of course it’s going to be very time consuming.

I understand you may want to figure it all out on your own, but it’s better to learn from someone who has already done it. This is why I preferred getting the guidance from a step-by-step walkthrough. In the end it’s a lot easier.

Getting Started

Your “Fireball” spell will be your main weapon for killing mobs to level up. So be sure to invest some skill points that improve the spell like “Improved Fireball”, which decreases the casting time of the spell.

As you level up, you will also run into the “Flame Throwing” talent which increases the range of the “Fireball” spell and all other fire spells for better safety.

The main source of the fire mage’s power is the critical hits. On its own, any critical hits deal 150% damage which is good, but can be amplified by the “Ignite” talent that should be maximized early so any critical strikes made by fire spells dealt more damage.

Mage Leveling Guide for Later Levels

Critical hits play an even more important role when you can spend skill points on the “Master of Elements” talent which returns some mana back to the caster whenever a critical hit is made. This is important for saving some money to buy mana potions since fire mages aren’t the most mana efficient builds. Since critical hits occur randomly, increasing the odds of a critical hit is necessary for defeating mobs and bosses with a lot of life.

By spending maximizing the “Critical Mass” and “Pyromanic” talents, critical hits should be more likely with the latter talent adding a good boost to mana regeneration while casting a fire spell. “Combustion” can even add more damage to the critical strikes, making it a valuable talent to invest in.

As soon as you can access the “Dragon’s Breath” spell, get it because it deals a lot of damage and disorients the foes as well. You can further increase the damage of all spells by spending points on the “Fire Power” talent.

Remember that you will need silver and gold for these talents, so be sure you save up some gold or do some gold farming and follow this mage leveling guide. Any extra gold that you have can be used to get items that increase your “Stamina” statistic so you can go on longer leveling runs.

The “Spirit” stat is also good for enhancing the “Molten Armor” spell. Once you are comfortable with your fire skills, you can invest some points on other talent trees to add some flexibility to your leveling mage.

Important Pointers for Talent Selection

Paladins are made to suit a variety of playing styles, some paladins playing more of a team role by healing others. Others play that team role by tanking, thanks to the protection spells. Retribution paladins are well-rounded for raids and solo play, while there are some high level holy paladins.

These builds take very long to develop and aren’t recommended if you want to level up quickly using any paladin leveling guide. Talents should be more focused on the Retribution although it is possible to level up by focusing on the Protection tree as well.

Retribution Talent Tree Focus

It is possible to go all the way up to level 80 by fully pouring points on the Retribution talent tree. When going this route, it is important to focus purely on the talents that benefit offensively rather than defensively.

For instance, early in the game, you can spend points “Benediction” which reduces the mana cost of instant cast spells, which is much better than maxing the “Deflection” talent. All of the other talents in the tree contribute to a good paladin leveling build and should be maxed out as you go along.

Do not mind any talents of other tree until you reach around level 60 where you can fully invest in the “Divine Strength” talent which significantly boosts your strength. Follow up with the “Seals of the Pure” talent in the holy tree to make seals more damaging as well.

Once you are near level 80, you can focus on healing by spending the remaining points on the “Divinity” talent. As long as you have a powerful two-handed weapon, you should have no problems with grinding.

Protection Talent Tree Focus

While the Protection talent tree doesn’t offer any early talents to make leveling easier, the “Seal of Light” spell can be used to make grinding possible as well. The only catch is that this spell can be casted by level 30 paladins or greater. Therefore, you need to spend your skills on the Retribution tree for moving on to the Protection tree.

Follow the early parts of the retribution paladin leveling guide and then respec to maximize on key talents. You can safely avoid any talents that provide any defensive or team benefits such as the ones that reduce effects or make the paladin a better tank.

If you have a powerful and slow weapon, you should be difficult to take down, thanks to the “Seal of Light” spell which allows any attacks you make to heal you and damage foes that are weak against holy.

No matter which paladin leveling guide you choose, your paladin should end up as a powerful melee warrior that can chew down foes even if you are playing solo.

It is also important to think ahead and choose the professions for future gameplay since you will be developing these gathering professions as you try to make gold.

Mining is good for starters that want the highest profits possible because the materials are high in demand since crafters use them to make good equipment. The rare materials that are attainable in higher skill levels can also sell for a lot of gold.

Skinning is a good profession for grinders or players that will go questing because the mobs themselves are resources after they are slain. Just take note that only beasts and certain other mobs can be skinnable.

Farming through Gathering

This is the simplest method and can be done as soon as you start the game because it involves the use of gathering professions to accumulate as many raw materials as possible. There are lots of players that demand resources in order to make powerful items and equipment.

Some of these players would rather pay for them than going through the trouble in gathering the materials themselves. These players head to the Auction House to seek materials which is where you should be once you gathered enough materials.

There are three gathering professions to choose from with the mining profession being the most profitable so it is a good choice. You might want to consider the other two professions – skinning and herbalism if your character class or build has better skills or gear that make the professions more efficient in gold farming. You can even take two gathering professions if you wish to have more materials to sell.

Once the professions are ready, find the best resource spots that are relevant to your chosen profession. You won’t have many places to explore if you are in the low levels so you can target any resource nodes that you are familiar with.

Use these places to build up your gathering skills and level up your character as you go so you can access other areas and deal with the tougher mobs that guard these resources. You will know if your skill level is high enough when you notice familiar resource nodes with a gray colored label. Proceed to areas like Stratholme, Eastern Plaguelands, and Stranglethron Vale as they are great places for resource farming.

Farming Through Hunting

Certain mobs may also drop raw materials that can be sold at the auction house as well. Linen Cloth is a highly demanded material for tailorists that can be found by killing Defias Trappers that lurk around Westfall. For more gold to be obtained, the skinning profession can be taken since certain mobs can be skinned for resources as well.

Both methods can actually be used for gold farming as you reach higher levels. There are plenty of valuable and rare resource nodes that can be harvested only if your skill level is high enough. There are also some tougher mobs that can only be defeated by higher leveled players or certain character builds. So spend time in developing your character and progress through quests to take on some advanced farming tasks.

Enchanting is one of the primary professions that focuses on amplifying the stats of gear or adding completely new statistics to make the gear more useful. After a beast has been tamed, the role shifts to training and caring for the pet since it initially starts unhappy. Keeping the pet happy is essential for it to dish as much damage as possible. Survival talents are good for soloing, but require a bit more skill to master than the Beast Mastery talents. It is rewarding though since some of the traps are for crowd control and can deal massive damage to mobs if set correctly.

The three talent trees of the Mage represent the different schools of magic, which are Arcane, Frost, and Fire. This allows many different builds to be made depending on the preferred spells making it difficult to plan a good build without a World of Warcraft Mage guide.

To simplify things, fire talents focus on the fire spells that are for dealing high amounts of damage. Frost spells deal less damage, but many of them have the snare effect to slow enemies down making it useful for kiting and crowd control.

Going deep in the Frost tree will give Mages access to the “Summon Water Elemental” spell, which adds DPS in raids, and helps stop retreating foes in PvP and PvE situations.

Always remember that although Mages cannot equip deadly weapons or heavy armor, Mages can still equip powerful staves and wands along with enchanted gear for them to become more powerful.
