WoW Gold Farming Guide, Tips and Advice
Players that are desperate to make lots of gold quickly resort to gold farming because it simply works and isn’t considered a forbidden practice. Do not expect much excitement when getting started because the tasks that are involved are highly repetitive, but you get the chance to do it early in the game so you can have fun later on once you stack up on lots of gold.

Farming through Gathering
This is the simplest method and can be done as soon as you start the game because it involves the use of gathering professions to accumulate as many raw materials as possible. There are lots of players that demand resources in order to make powerful items and equipment.
Some of these players would rather pay for them than going through the trouble in gathering the materials themselves. These players head to the Auction House to seek materials which is where you should be once you gathered enough materials.
There are three gathering professions to choose from with the mining profession being the most profitable so it is a good choice. You might want to consider the other two professions – skinning and herbalism if your character class or build has better skills or gear that make the professions more efficient in gold farming. You can even take two gathering professions if you wish to have more materials to sell.
Once the professions are ready, find the best resource spots that are relevant to your chosen profession. You won’t have many places to explore if you are in the low levels so you can target any resource nodes that you are familiar with.
Use these places to build up your gathering skills and level up your character as you go so you can access other areas and deal with the tougher mobs that guard these resources. You will know if your skill level is high enough when you notice familiar resource nodes with a gray colored label. Proceed to areas like Stratholme, Eastern Plaguelands, and Stranglethron Vale as they are great places for resource farming.
Farming Through Hunting
Certain mobs may also drop raw materials that can be sold at the auction house as well. Linen Cloth is a highly demanded material for tailorists that can be found by killing Defias Trappers that lurk around Westfall. For more gold to be obtained, the skinning profession can be taken since certain mobs can be skinned for resources as well.
Both methods can actually be used for gold farming as you reach higher levels. There are plenty of valuable and rare resource nodes that can be harvested only if your skill level is high enough. There are also some tougher mobs that can only be defeated by higher leveled players or certain character builds. So spend time in developing your character and progress through quests to take on some advanced farming tasks.
