World of Warcraft Power Leveling Guide

World of Warcraft is currently the most popular MMORPG game because of the millions of subscribers that are actively playing and the number is growing exponentially with 2 expansion packs already rolled out and a third one coming in 2010.

With so many people getting involved with the different races and character classes to play with, competition is getting fiercer and players are trying harder to forge the perfect character class build for both PvE and PvP instances.

With the servers running for nearly 5 years, many players have managed to craft powerful characters in level and gear leaving newer players wondering how to reach that point quickly. Power leveling by means of a power leveling guide is one of the most common approaches to the problem. Here are some of the most common ways to power level that beginner and low-level players can try.

Questing

World of Warcraft on its own offers plenty of quests that can be taken with many of them having nice rewards for finishing them. Although some quests may look at first as if the rewards aren’t so great, the real worth of fulfilling them is the experience that is gained for slaying difficult mobs and bosses that are part of the quest.

Following a power leveling guide for questing is doing the quests in a certain order where not much time is spent progressing each one. If you are confused with all the different quests available and not sure which ones to take first, it is recommended to download a World of Warcraft add-on such as Questhelper to find the best quests to pursue first.

Profession Progression

Choosing the right professions as you level up not only speed up the leveling process, but also help your character develop better to make future level gaining easier.

All of the gathering professions may be used depending on your playing style and personal objectives, but Skinning is great for starters because it doesn’t involve any node travelling since you can get resources from the beasts that you slay and you will be encountering these beasts often especially when grinding.

However, Mining is still good for making high profits and Herbalism can support Alchemy to aid in your survival when combating tougher mobs.

The First Aid profession is an absolute must no matter the class since it is inexpensive to train and can help your character last longer before a trip to the inn or capital is needed. Many of the other secondary professions should be avoided as they take a lot of management to develop and can be costly.

Character Building

Unless you plan on participating in PvP situations, try to craft a leveling spec that other people have made and proved that it is ideal for power leveling. Most leveling specs do not have talents that are decent for PvP such as stun resistance.

Since power leveling is a speedy way to progress through levels quickly, it is a good habit to find gear that is several levels ahead of you. For fastest results, stick with the gear that you have and don’t bother enchanting it since you will change gear once your level meets the requirements.

By following a power leveling guide such as this, you should be able to move up to comfortable levels quickly without all of the repetitive grinding.
